From the Philadelphia-Camden-Trenton area:Proceed north on the NJ Turnpike approaching Newark. Take exit 15W onto Route 280 West. Proceed through Newark on 280 West, bearing left as it merges with Route 80 West. Follow Route 80 West past Denville to exit 34B for Route 15 North. Take Route 15 to the second Sparta exit (Franklin-Sparta exit) for Route 517 North. Follow Route 517 for 2.6 miles to Ogdensburg. In Ogdensburg, at Brooks Flat Road, is a brown sign for the Sterling Hill Mining Museum on the left (west) side of the road; turn left here. Proceed down the hill for 0.4 mile and turn right on Plant Street. Follow Plant St. 0.9 mile to the Stop sign and turn left, then immediately left again into the Sterling Hill Mining Museum entrance.
From New York City-Newark area via Route 80:Depending on your location, take Route 80 West or take either Route 280 North or Routes 78, 24, and 287 North to join Route 80 near Parsippany. Proceed west on Route 80 past Denville to exit 34B for Route 15 North. Take Route 15 to the second Sparta exit (Franklin-Sparta exit) for Route 517 North. Proceed down the hill for 0.4 mile and turn right on Plant Street. Follow Plant St. 0.9 mile to the Stop sign and turn left, then immediately left again into the Sterling Hill Mining Museum entrance.
From the Scranton-Wilkes Barre area:Proceed east on Route 84 to Matamoras. Cross the Delaware River and take exit 1 for Route 23 South. Follow Route 23 for 21 miles through Sussex, Hamburg, and Franklin to the Route 517 intersection. Take Route 517 South for 2.5 miles through Ogdensburg and turn right on Brooks Flat Road, at the brown sign for the Sterling Hill Mining Museum. Proceed down the hill for 0.4 mile and turn right on Plant Street. Follow Plant St. 0.9 mile to the Stop sign and turn left, then immediately left again into the Sterling Hill Mining Museum entrance.
